I have written a first draft of my first feature screenplay , with the assistance of a mentor / consultant whom I hired to see me through the process (Margo Prescott). It is a supernatural thriller. I am excited at the prospect of producing it as an independent feature film, although that excitement has been tempered lately as I have become partially educated in the harsh realities of the difficulty in getting distribution for features. So I will have to wait and see what the future holds--...

I have yet to produce my first film , but I am gearing up for lots of filming in 2008. I had a short film ready to shoot October 2007 but on the day I was to film actors on location, an historic bought of drought suddenly changed to biblical days of rain that never ended. So that short film, set outdoors, is on hold until 2008.

Just when I thought it was safe to pursue this passion again, my day job hits me square in the time management department. Looks like things won't be letting up until at least February. Nothing like a new, accelerated project schedule to keep the mind and the energies trapped in Mundania. I haven't even pulled the camera out in a few months. Sad.

But if it's not meant to be, it's not. And it's never a matter of "if" this will happen, but "when". I invested a lot of time and money into...

We're in the home stretch for 2007. The year is coming to a close and I'm getting antsy. I've finally accepted a temporary defeat in letting this cancer get the best of me. There WILL BE NO MOVIES from LOC in 2007. I just can't do it. I apologize.

However, I have lots of stuff on the back burner for 2008. Really, how bad could next year be? I am optimistic that 2008 will bring me better health and the ability to start shooting a few projects that's been gnawing at me.

Well, I've returned from a three day stay at the hospital. Things went well... for the most part.

I get a call on Wednesday from the hospital asking if I have been taking the pre-op meds they wanted me to take. Um... what meds? This is the first I've heard about this.
