I use Final Cut Pro (Mac) for video with Nuendo (PC) for audio. I am looking to buy some DVD authoring software. I would LIKE to buy a PC based program because I use PC based PhotoShop and Illustrator. Will I encounter any problems transferring video to PC for DVD authoring?

the gamma is different between the two, you may notice a difference in the darks and mids from one platform to the other.

and you could look at upgrading to final cut studio, that comes with dvd studio pro and won't require a transfer form one platform to the other. Plus you get motion with it and the latest FCP.

if you going to pc for dvd authoring, you can just export the file as mpeg2 fom fcp and it should be fine to use on pc or vice versa.

On pc based, there are two that i used and liked, ulead dvd workshop 2.0 and encore dvd 2.0 both are pretty easy and reasonably priced.

FCP Studio here. DVD studio pro, is simple to use. You can author menus easily creating templates in ps and incorporating PSD files. I love it.

Sonic has a nice solution for DVD authoring for around $70 called MyDVD. Take a look at this comparison chart (http://www.sonic.com/products/consumer/mydvd/default.aspx) of the two versions they have.

I use it and it's fast and very simple to use. Zero learning curve, good quality.
