We are now a subscription-based site only. Only Premiere members can post, chat, etc.

This will keep the site alive.
This will help to weed out spammers and those who come to start trouble.
It will keep banned members from returning.
It will eliminate the problem of multiple accounts (for contests, etc.).
There will be more of a community feel.
Life is easier on the moderators.

If you had 100 posts or more you got a free one year Premiere membership. If you were already Premiere, your membership was extended one year.

Here is the email sent to Premiere members:

We have just given you a free one-year Premiere, Premiere Plus, or Premiere Pro membership.

If you were a regular member with 100 posts or more, you were just upgraded to Premiere.

If you were already Premiere, you were just given another year (even if we already gave you a free membership recently).

Why? All members will soon have to have a membership to post. We wanted to give the regulars a free membership. To be fair to those whom were already Premiere, we added a year.

We will be adding many new features and discounts for Premiere members. Feel free to make suggestions in the Premiere Lounge. Stay tuned!

Thanks for being a regular!

To quote Ford Fairlane, "Unbelievable!"

This is one of the most responsible moves I've ever seen.

Grats, Indietalk. (and thank you!)

I take this to say that visitors can still read posts, correct?

Guests and Registered Users can read all the posts, yes, except the private posts in the Premiere section, which is a hidden area for Premiere members.
