How did they make it look so good? sonnyboo 10-10-2005, 10:13 PM Shot with the Canon XL1S, but the PAL (European video) format - which is 25 frames per second, and 720x576, as opposed to NTSC (North American video) at 29.97 frames per second and 720x480. They also used the adapters and put 35mm panavision film lenses. The DVD is made from a telecine of the 35mm film print back to video. WideShot 10-11-2005, 02:21 AM From what I understand they spent about $200k in post on 28 days later. Ahh its the little details that they leave out. Baddox 10-11-2005, 10:12 AM That's really interesting (especially the 200k post), but how do you find out what format and what equipment movies used? Is there a website somewhere that will tell that, or do you watch special features on the DVD or what? knightly 10-11-2005, 10:19 AM the end sequence is film...they used the video to make the statement about the world being under constant surveillance. Made the film seem more immediate and news-like. Also added a big boost to the ending in being a stark contrast in look/feel to the meat of the movie. http://www.cinema.com/article/item.phtml?ID=1465 http://www.res.com/magazine/articles/28dayslateraninterviewwithdannyboyle_2003-05-21.html |
