POV tips

Ok, second question.

Do you guys have any tips to do with extended POV sequences?

I'm making a horror, and one of my characters is destined to be completely POV.

I know to avoid mirrors. 'Being John Malkovich' and mirrors.... urgh.

You can do the blair witch thing and make your audience need barf bags, or you can put the camera on your collapsed tripod and carry the tripod in an "O" formed between your index finger and thumb on your strongest arm (it'll get heavy after a while). Steer it with the other hand but don't grip it while you're doing so. The tighter you hold it, the shakier it will get.

Steady cams work by separating your body movements from the camera. The less you hold onto the camera, the smoother it will be. Carry this like you are carrying hot coffe in a cup that is full. Practice with a cup of hot coffe that is full (ouch...ouch...ouch). Walk smoothly with bent knees and try to keep your torso parallel to the ground.
