Hi All,

I've been thinking about picking up a Britek light kit off eBay. Was wondering if anyone has any first hand experience using these and what their thoughts were?

I usually use Lowel kits which aren't reallly that great in my opinion, but they do get the job done. Anyone able to compare the quality of the Britek's to Lowel kits? These would be primarily for my paying gigs which are mostly industrials consisting of talking heads, interviews, simple location shoots.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I'm happy with my Britek lights. :)

Easy to assemble softboxes. Barndoors with little clips on them for gels. Came with a carrybag (with wheels) that had room for more stuff.

The stands are a bit lightweight, though.

No idea how they compare to Lowell.

If I remember right, Lowel's are light too. I think they keep shipping down and lighter is more attractive than heaveir. Don't leave home without your sand bags. ;)

Thanks Zen. Out of curiosity, what kit do you have (how many lights, etc.). I'm looking at 5 piece kit selling on eBay for about $950.
