Stupid question, but what is the difference between these 3 options?
I'm trying to figure this out, and to no avail...Anyone know the difference or definition?
If you could either email it, or post here, I'd truly appreciate it!

Thanks!
:)

ROUGH CUT is your first edit, also called an "assembly", although an Assembly on larger shows can occur before the rough cut,a s just an assemblage of all the footage in a row.

an AVID CUT is specifically an edit done on the AVID software or hardware. It has no definate stage in the edit, but it is almost always NOT the "FINAL CUT", which has nothing direclty to do with Apple's software.

a TEMPORARY PRINT is when nearing a final edit, studios and larger independents will have a copy of their film made on actual film for test screenings with audiences.

hope this helps.
