greetings. it seems that when i import music to final cut pro, it is a little skippy. it doesn't start out like that because i listen to the music in itunes and its fine. what's wrong?

convert the mp3's to aiff first.

Why do you have to convert mp3s? I use Premiere Pro and never had to convert anything when putting in some music.

you're not talking about Premier, you're talking about FCP... Try it and see if it works, if it does, then show some appreciation to knightly.

I just use itunes to do the conversion...keep the bitrate high. There was a thread on this topic (on the now defunct imovie-users forum) in which I did tons of testing to come to this solution. It's an underlying math thing or something to do with bitrates/framerates with the mp3 format.
