black & white with color!!

greetings. there's only one example i can think of that did this: shindler's list.

remember that scene where they showed the one little girl in color? (the entire movie was in black & white)

is there any easier way to do something like that than to have that little girl walk in front of a green screen, or is the green screen the only way?

"Selective Color Correction"

You can desaturate (turn black & white) whatever you want, and select a color or range of colors to leave alone.. there's more to it than that, but that's basically how it works.

Here's a link: Selective Desaturation Tutorial (This is for photoshop, but I think most if not all the tools needed are part of either premiere or after effects or both..)
