:D
Zensteve 07-05-2005, 01:50 AM Well... errr... indeed...
I'm assuming this is a trailer for something longer? That's what the end seemed to imply.
As crass as this short was, it was still extremely funny. It reminded me a lot of the short bits in "Amazon Women on the Moon".
I must know more. http://www.stevenrichards.com/images/smiley_ninja.gif
reelfiction 07-05-2005, 02:26 AM Yep, it will be much longer. I'm glad you enjoyed it, I wasn't sure if indietalk was the right place for this sort of thing.
:)
John@Bophe 07-05-2005, 06:23 AM Bravo for taking risks (and for finding a crew willing to take them with you!) I'm a fan of objectionable humor, so I'll be sure to check out the longer movie when done.
reelfiction 07-05-2005, 08:36 AM Well, to be fair, this is just as much test footage as it is anything else. The porn footage is from a REAL porn (I shit you not (Tales From the Script 3)), when I saw it I was like "I need to use that somewhere!"
The script is around 7 pages, but in all honesty the film will be more like 15 minutes, I think. I've just been hesitant, because I wasn't sure if I could establish the right tone with the film, so I wanted to assemble something right away to reassure myself. I think that works just nicely.
Boz Uriel 07-17-2005, 10:37 PM The porn footage is from a REAL porn (I shit you not (Tales From the Script 3)), when I saw it I was like "I need to use that somewhere!" eh, is this legal?
Zensteve 07-17-2005, 10:40 PM eh, is this legal?
Technically... no.
Boz Uriel 07-17-2005, 10:51 PM LOL @ ZS
So I'm sitting there watching, waiting for the guy to say "I'm Strongbad!"
reelfiction 07-17-2005, 11:39 PM LOL - I've been brainstorming on what to do to make that segment "license friendly", I'll still probably end up pissing in the wind like with the Asshole DVD.
Principle photography is about 43% done. Maybe less if I add the Purvis character.
Boz Uriel 07-18-2005, 12:08 AM Well, it shouldn't be that hard to shoot it yourself. Change it enough so the meaning isn't lost but you don't infringe either. I think everybody knows a girl willing to show some TnA to be in a movie. :D

YouAreAloneMOVIE 07-31-2005, 05:17 PM I'm not completely sure what I just watched, but I was completely entertained.
My only criticism...that wasn't a "butt plug" per se.
Though "butt plug" is a funnier name than the generic term, which I'm not sure I can write here.
Perhaps find a contraption with a completely over-the-top ridiculous name, so when the narrator speaks it, it's even funnier than "butt plug" i.e. "ass-tro probe" or something like that.
I never thought I'd use the phrase "butt plug" 5 times in a post on this board.
:)
reelfiction 08-02-2005, 05:57 AM Lol
What camera did you use to film those grabs with? Looks good.
reelfiction 08-03-2005, 09:52 AM I'm using a Panasonic DVX-100a.
reelfiction 08-13-2005, 08:57 PM Well guys, here's the opening to The Goat Sucker
http://www.cultstitch.com/video/goatopening.wmv
YouAreAloneMOVIE 08-14-2005, 05:03 PM Ummm...I think you need to go back to the butt plugs.
Pink Guy 08-14-2005, 06:29 PM It's very dark...in a bad way.
Couldn't see much until the actual murder. I realize what you are doing with the lightning flashes (at least I think I do), but that's gonna turn off a lot of people right from the get go.
Poke
Zensteve 08-15-2005, 01:12 AM Dark indeed, even with brightness turned up.
I liked how you tried the coloured lighting. Maybe it didn't come out as well as it could have, though. I really liked the lightning flashes. Good & campy. You know exactly what kind of movie you're going to be seeing, right out of the gate.
I fully expect this movie to simaltaeneously mock and salute various films from the past.
King Goldfish 08-15-2005, 01:48 PM Hey, I think i live next door to you.
Kidding. Scarey peeeps in the world these days. I laughed at the poor gunshot victem.
Andrew 08-15-2005, 08:44 PM That was a funny short. I hope your feature turns out in the same fashion.
reelfiction 08-27-2005, 08:57 PM New trailer!

Premiere screening, Oct. 7 at Lulubell Toy Bodega. Tucson, AZ.
Zensteve 09-12-2005, 12:37 AM Missed the latest trailer... great bump.
Great poster, too.
That new trailer is fantastic. Engage timewarp to 60's & early 70's, cap'n!
Still has a bit of that really dark footage, but minimal... much more comprehensive than the previous ones.
:)
reelfiction 09-12-2005, 12:49 AM Glad you liked it!
The brightness and gamma has been corrected for the film :)
