hi, don't know if this is the right place for such a question, but i'm gonna drop it here anyway.

I am looking for some information about the making of video-clips, especially regarding the financing and airing on television (MTV) of these videoclips.

a band hires a director to make a videoclip....but who does pay for all this. ( are the record-companies the only financiers of music-videoclips, and do they pay the television-companies to air/show these clips?)

this may seem like a weird question, also because my english isn't really very good :blush: , but I hope someone can help me get some info...
