I've been approached by an artist about a music video which times out at 00:03:36. Now, we want to shoot on film, Super 16mm of course. We've got 6 total setups, which I'm estimating one 400' roll per setup. Minus camera costs and using a conservative shooting how much should I estimate for our total cost for film, telecine, etc.? They are going to be showing this on TV, so they want as quality as they can get for lower budget.

Any ideas and advice would be greatly appreciated.

If it's for TV I don't see why you want to shoot on film, it goes against your need for quality for money.

I'd shoot on DigiBeta and spend the money I saved on a good lighting and post. Just an opinion, mind you.

DigiBeta was actually the planned output method, but I had not thought about that as the capture method.
