Welcome to Indietalk, Leao! Liked your animation!
CootDog 01-30-2005, 04:30 PM yea that was great! good stuff.
linneaT 02-03-2005, 04:16 PM I realize this is a tad bit off subject, but aren't there now film/movie competitions by using your video phone?
Will Vincent 02-03-2005, 05:16 PM Yes, there is one I've heard of. But I don't recall who's running it.
Welcome to indietalk linnea.
linneaT 02-03-2005, 09:26 PM I remember that in the Austin Film Festival program from October that they were advertizing one- I think its still going on-
Will Vincent 02-03-2005, 09:34 PM I just saw something about it somewhere a week or two ago, so yeah, I would assume it's going on. ;)
Pink Guy 02-03-2005, 09:59 PM AFF (http://www.austinfilmfestival.com/) has long been over. SXSW (http://www.sxsw.com/) might be having something of the sort, but I'm not sure.

Thanks for your nice words about my film!
I've been commissioned to make a series based on it by Pocket Shorts (http://www.pocketshorts.com/).
Please take a look at my ideas below and tell me what you think...

I'm currently working on the first scenario (Alarm clock). It will probably last 30 seconds rather than 15.
please tell me what you think of my ideas, even if you hate them !
peace Leao
PS Walter Smidge: I used Abode Image Ready to make the graphics for the movie and Flash to animate them.
Hi, ive just finished a draft version of a new film involving Nokia man getting progressively annoyed with his mobile phone alarm clock.
Please take a look and tell me what you think ...
http://www.leoearle.com/alarm.htm
It's not slick yet, but I want to make sure the basis of the film is good before I take it any further. Peace, Leao
I've just done another version of the alarm clock film
http://www.leoearle.com/alarm2.htm
Which do you like best... this one or http://www.leoearle.com/alarm.htm ???
peace
Will Vincent 02-14-2005, 12:35 PM How about this one:
Scenario 5: Signal Strength
Nokia man checks, and has a full signal, dials someone.. as soon as he puts the phone to his head the signal drops, this happens repeatedly until he breaks the phone.

I like this one (http://www.leoearle.com/alarm.htm). (First one posted, not the first listed in this post.)
Zensteve 02-14-2005, 07:57 PM Of the two new "alarm clock" ones, I like the first one better.
What was originally planned in the storyboard thing, where the LCD panel has cracked, btw?
Please take a look at the latest version of my mobile phone film called 'Kidnap'
http://www.leoearle.com/kidnap/
What do you think about it being black & white? I'm adding sound later this month.
Any feedback would be much appreciated : )

dudebro 03-23-2005, 08:12 PM Poor Nokia guy. Just wants some enlightenment.
I dug the on-hold film. Been there before.
The kidnap version looks great. I love the idea too. The only thing i dont like are the blue mats in the first two frames. I think they clash with the yellow nokia man. Apart from that its great!

Spatula 04-02-2005, 01:45 PM I liked it, thought it was hilarious.
I know it's the point, but it lingered a little long on some shots... made me do my own :grumpy: ...lol
Great job.
Hi Spatula, are you sure that you're not referring to the On Hold movie rather than Kidnap (http://www.leoearle.com/kidnap/)?
peace
zaman2002 04-04-2005, 03:18 PM that was great i like them>>>>
ive simplified the whole film http://www.leoearle.com/pleasereleaseme/
It could do with a few changes, what do you think? The sound quality needs improving a lot. Perhaps I could have Engelbert Humperdinck's "Please release me" at the end in monotone?
