Hey-
I am editing a black and white film on primere pro. I shot as close to night as possible, but didn't get it as dark as I want it.. is there an effect I can use in Pro that can help me out? I have been playing with it for a bit but nothing is jumping out at me. Thanks

You should have a video tool to brighten and darken shots. Look under tools - Video tools - Brightness and Contrast.

you'll want to play with both brightness and contrast, I've found just mucking with brightness tends to cause the contrast to go all wonky.. but I suppose if it wasn't changing too much it might not matter.. good luck, and let us know if you need more help. ;)

By the way, :welcome:

Select the clip.

Open "Effects", then "Video Effects", then "Adjust".

You'll see about a dozen video filters to play with there. :)

Yea use the effects list steve gave, i'd try Gamma correction first though, as its what i use to brighten up my dark shots.
