It does, and i figured it out.
The RCA and or S-Video ARE input output like i thought. But to record from another source, you have to have it in VCR mode (where you view your footage) and then on the top, below the handle, theres a green and red button and it says "VCR Record" you have to press BOTH of them to record like that.
