I dont understand why they hate their own country so much, but i'd like to not bring politics to this board...I'd hate for everyone to think I'm then supre human, Logical, intelligent, republican...and have all the liberals get shut down debating me...

So from a movie point of view, its going to MERK michael moore as bad as the book "Michael Moore is a Big Fat Stupid White Man"

And all Moore supporters realize Michael Moore made fun of the victims on the Planes that got hijacked...His quote was similar to but not verbatim "If those planes had black people on them there wouldn't be a 9/11. Black people wouldn't have taken their crap"

I don't think liberals hate america. They just don't like how it's being run right now...nothing wrong with that.

Liberals have done some great things for America, and continue to do so. I personally agree with more Republican platforms than Democrat, but must admit that liberals have helped the environment, censorship (wether you think that's good or bad), and gays. These are all noble fights that many conservatives don't feel as strongly about. Republicans have helped the economy, banning partial birth abortion, before Bush they were very efficient, logical and realistic in their policies. I, personally think they help minorities more by treating them as equals rather than giving them pity... Both sides have their pros and cons. I wish the right and left didn't hate each other so much. I feel that if we all opened our minds a little bit and didn't see everything as black and white, the country wouldn't be so divided. I don't think that Nader is the answer, but somedy we need a three or four party system.

I actually don't even think Michael Moore REALLY hates America, but he is a duche bag.
 
I think we should pressure government into getting rid of their salaries.. make 'em work for free... then we'll see who REALLY wants to "help" America ;)

Democrats did good thigns for censorship? I'd agree with you, only one problem : AL Gore raped censorship. So dont think that only republicans want to censor everything because of the recent FCC Bullshit. Al Gore ruined censorship for the liberals...so neither side is better on that issue.

The true democrats(as McCarthy stated) do not have a party anymore. Sure 50 years ago democrats had some great points and great views...but not anymore.

That's not what I mean. What I mean is: not all conservatives think gay marriage should be illegal, and not all liberals think that Alaska shouldn't be struck for oil.

People assume that everyone who leans to the left agrees with Moore, and everyone who leans to the right agrees with Bush or Rush Limbaugh...Everyone left is a politically correct vegetarian passifist dumbass hippie who wants to censor everything and everyone right is a rich religious gun nut intent on ridding the world of homosexuality. The fact is most people are a little of both. Everyone is unique and has some beliefs that conform to both sides or neither side. That's why I don't say I hate "liberals". It's such a blanket statement that could define many people. That's what isn't black and white...

...some issues are black and white...true. But some are VERY grey. Republicans don't seek to prohibit abortion (yet), but they do seek to discourage it by funding new adoption plans, etc. Just one example of how an issue can be grey too.
 
I wouldn't say all liberals hate America, but I would say some do. I would also say some conservatives hate America. What I mean by this is that there are some people that are so far left or right that they actually hate the state of the union. But in my travels, I would say that for every liberal or conservative that I've run into that truly hates America there are at least 10,000 more from both sides that love America and are merely trying to do what's best for the country.

I believe Michael Moore is someone who loves his country. He isn't trying to destroy America, he's trying to better it (at least in a way he thinks would be better). I do wish Mr. Wilson had chosen a different title for his movie (why not Mike and Me or Mike and Mike? wouldn't either of those be more fitting?), I actually sent him an email asking him to change the title. It would do more for his movie if it didn't seem like a cheap shot from the get go.

Oops. I somehow missed this. Alright...did you like how Clinton ran things? I sure didn't. Few people know much about this, but he was in all kinds of foreign bombing campaigns that were VERY questionable...as well as embarrassing our country with his infedelity. People say "oh, he's only human..." Well, I am to, but I don't cheat. Plus, he's the leader of the nation...he SHOULD have higher standards for himself as a person. Then sexually harrassing a woman? What a bastard.

My point? I didn't like how the country was being run at a time...and even right now, I think our intelligence is SHITTY!!! I also think this Gay marriage ban is BULLSHIT!!! I love America, but seeking to make it better than it already is shouldn't mean the same thing as "hating America". America's not perfect. There's nothing wrong with criticizing certain things...even our leaders. that's what makes America great!!!

One thing you're not thinking about gay marriage is that if we compromise with one fetish/disorder, then we're gonna ahve to compromise with all of them. You gonna fight for a man's right to marry his horse?

I could care less if you're gay, i could care less if you act on it, i could care less if you live together your whole life as if you're married. But if we let that disorder get married, then we'll have to let them all...
