Synopsis sales

hey there,

Just a quick question for you pros writers out there.

I am trying to get into the script writing world but continually find myself having halfway through something when a new idea bounces into my head.

All i want to know is can I sell a synopsis rather than a script?

So i can write a screenplay but still survive on my synopsis'

You can't really sell a synopsis. When you pitch an idea, if they like it, they will ask to see the script. If you don't have it, you don't want to say "I just have the synopsis" you want to bust your butt to finish up the script.
