Copy Right

I think this deserves its own thread. And, if you have a copyright question post it in this thread too, dont worry about HiJacking. Just..when answering make sure its known who you're answering.

My question, would quoting an article published on Reuter's site be violating this contests rules? I'd cite sources and all that, but just wondering about this contest and its rules on copyrighted material.

I meant to PM you earlier, Mr Rizien, when you mentioned possible copyrighted material in the other thread.

If you are quoting material from news sources, and acknowledging them, you are fine. Unless you are taking entire articles, for some odd reason.

The concern with copyrighted material is mainly to do with video clips, film and/or music that tend to work their way into small flicks.

News is news.

P.S. I'll look up Reuter's published policy in the morn.
