Ack, can't believe I missed the premiere announcement!

I've seen this, and it's a solid and funny flick. 25 mins, roughly, if I recall.

"Pinky" is the greatest!

Should have done this some time ago ...

I've seen "TSaC" and it's a great short. It's a nice slice of New York life. If you're a fan of circular stories and scenes that feel like life unfolding, I'd suggest you check this one out.

Very nice and delicious short! Some very funny stuff and a few good plot twists. Dan shows a lot of talent with this flick, can't wait to see the next one! Watched it with my pop and he thought it was very good (and he usually doesn't like much!)

If I had one critique to make its that in a couple of the scenes I would have liked to have seen the camera move a bit more. But I understand why that would have been tough, plus having long takes like that is pretty cool.

P.S. Dan, did you shoot this on an Arriflex or...? And what film? I really like the image quality... refreshing to see such a nice picture on a short after watching so many on low quality DV (Not that there's anything wrong with that, heck my short was shot on an old mini-dv!).

Just got my DVD from CustomFlix with To Skin a Cat (and five other short films) and am very excited. In part because I love what CustomFlix is doing and hope that it will continue to be a viable way of distributing independent projects.

But happily, I have to say that To Skin A Cat was the best of the lot, no question. And I'm not just whistling dixie, it really was good both technically and storywise. If you haven't had a chance to check it out, support Indietalk, support CustomFlix and support good filmmaking.

Now, if you have a chance, Indie, I would love to get the "Making Of" details. It looked great, a real tribute to making super 16 look great.

In other news, ...To Skin a Cat is Amazon listed now. :woohoo:

dang, this sounds very interesting, right up my alley (unfolding scenes, twists, humour) and if i am not wrong, a good dose of male nudity.
problem - its only available in region 1 :(
is there any way that i would be able to see it IndieT?????????

Well, not quite.

The closest to nudity it gets, is down to the skivvies.

I just noticed it also won "1st Prize Comedy Short" at LIFF.

It's nice to browse the net and find awards you didn't know about (although, it would have been nicer to be notified, but oh well.) :)

Indietalk, what is To Skin A Cat about? It sounds cool, but I was just wondering.
Thanks,

I know the synopsis is short (more of a tagline), but read the reviews and you should get an idea.
