I just saw Napoleon Dynamite and it was the funniest film I've seen...all summer. Plot? Who needs one? Napoleon is one of the best characters ever concieved...seriously. He is a type of person that we ALL know, but never see in the movies; especially as the main character.
He is also PERFECTLY portrayed by whoever played him. I mean perfectly. Everything this character did was both predictable and unpredictable at the same time. Perfect.
I must admit that some of the other characters in this movie (mainly Napoleon's brother and uncle) were extremely irritating, but I'm still going to buy this movie on DVD when it comes out.
Your thoughts?

It's pretty much my favorite movie of all time right now. I've seen it like affinity times, and it's friggin' sweet.

I don't think that's correct. Goat attended a screening of the film way back in February or March in Dallas. The director gave a Q & A about the film afterwards. Goat never mentioned this, and he would've if it was true.
Not calling you a liar, just informing you that you may have some bad info.

It's true...I've read the same thing. His short was called Peluca.
It did play at Cannes...I don't remember if it won any awards.

Well, it was actually the producer Jeremy Coon and the guy who played Pedro, Efren Ramirez at the Q&A. But I don't remember him talking about a short. They actually didn't talk to much own their own, they mainly just answered questions.
Anyway, I gotta get back to chatting with hot babes on-line.
