I want to put the camera on the end of my car, and drive to simulate a car chase for a scene. However I should probably put an ND filter or polarizer on the lens to get certain sunlight results, and will practice. But I don't want to lens or the filters being scratched by dirt. Is there a protective peace of glass or plastic I can buy that snaps on over top of the filter, or on the end of the lens itself, if I decide to not go with a filter? Thanks.

Most people use a UV filter as a protector. They're heap enough to replace if scratched. $15-30 will get a decent one for your lens, just put it on last in the stack if you're using ND or or something else too.
There are also non-filtered clear glass lens protectors that attach the same way that your lens filters do.
Okay thanks. I also want to ride my bike up and down some hills with the camera snapped on, so it will be rough.
