alright, this is my idea for a script so far i would like some feedback please.

who:a group of no rent squatters and the events that would lead to them defending the building they live in known as squattas paradise

what:i want to call it Rent for sale ,east coast rising or squattas paradise

when:takes place in the early 90's revival of undergound music in the inner city

where:either brooklyn or detroit

why:i want to make a film that mix's;
action(riot in the streets)
drama(death to one of the squatters)
comedy(funny situations during something serious)

i want the opening scene to be the end of the movie (riot) like just show a part of the end in the begening then go to the real begening, its kinda hard to explaine but i think i got it down

(hear young mans voice, early 20's,speaking of the situation at hand)
screen is all back while u hear him talk.
then u see a match lit
camera slowly moves back to see a hand holding a molotov cocktail
cock tail is lit
u see man walking towards window he throws cocktail at cops in the street
ALARM CLOCK GOES OFF
u see the same man in his early 20's getting up and ready for the day.

how does that sound for an opening scene?
i would like some feed back pelase
thanks.

Maybe you need something to help that transition in time, using the alarm-clock.

Since we have social anarchy in progress and various explosive objects being lobbed, how about having a cheap alarm-clock detonated device in the opening sequence... which when it goes off (as the bell trills) can make the transition to the waking up alarm-clock at a bedside?

Though I like that idea, hasen't the idea of starting a movie with an alarm clock become a little bit cliche?
