Anyone, dead or alive.

Well, me.. anyone who's ever spoken to me would know my answer... Quentin Tarantino for sure, brilliant film maker.. amazing writer.

So how about you guys? :-k :?:

Mr.Blonde

Oh, anybody related to film.

It would have to be cinematographer Darius Khondji. If anyone can light a picture it's this guy - Light carving genius!
He's done 'The Beach', 'Delicatessen'... etc etc...

Mr.Blonde

Gee, other Mr. Blonde.. I had no idea you might say QT...

Orson Welles

George Lucas

OR (this is ranom) Robert Rodriguez. Everything he says or does sounds like what I would do. If we worked together, I think our creative power would double since we think alike!

Although they weren't filmmakers or anything, I would love to have worked with the Beatles! They were musical geniuses (except for Ringo...but he's sill a good guy).

Mr.Blonde
05-23-2004, 05:49 AM
Have you by any chance read 'rebel without a crew' by Robert Rodriguez?

Very good book. I'd definatly recommend it.

Mr. Blonde

Ahhh! Too many answers to this question! The list goes on and on, but as acting is my first love, I'll narrow it down to actors... nope, still too many, the list can go on for days but in the end I already know the answer if I have to pick one. Ian McKellen.

Tine
05-23-2004, 04:05 PM
Okay I just have to name a few others

QT
Hayao Miyazaki
Weta workshops (honestly, I'd just like to sit and WATCH them)
You know what I'm going to shorten this list by just saying all the film makers who worked on LOTR
Alan Rickman
Anthony Hopkins

Yeah there are just a few, I'll add as they come to me

Robert Rodriguez.

He'd be my number 2 guy.

Poke
Yeah. He's no Spielberg, but he just seems like he would be fun to work with. There are plenty of directors I REALLY love and respect like Sydney Lumet, the late John Ford, etc. But Rodriguez seems to have a different approach to the medium than those people. He really likes trying new things, breaking traditions, and most importantly, having a good time while shooting his movies. Those other directors are some of the best ever, but they seem to take it a little too seriously (for me to want to work with them, of course)...they have their ways of doing things and that's it. Lumet has never taped his shoots for later review, just wierd pointless stuff like that. Their too set in their ways, you know? Rodriguez is very passionate and takes a lot of risks, which I like. It also seems that most of Hollywood wants to work with him too, so I'm not alone, hehe.

Joan Crawford: No... wire... hangers! What's wire hangers doing in this closet when I told you: no wire hangers EVER? I work and work 'till I'm half-dead, and I hear people saying, "She's getting old." And what do I get? A daughter... who cares as much about the beautiful dresses I give her... as she cares about me! What's wire hangers doing in this closet? Answer me! I buy you beautiful dresses, and you treat them like they were some dishrag. You do! Three hundred dollar dress on a wire hanger! We'll see how many you've got if they're hidden somewhere. We'll see... we'll see. Get out of that bed! All of this is coming out! Out! Out! Out! Out! Out! Out! You've got any more? We're gonna see how many wire hangers you've got in your closet. Wire hangers, why? Why? Christina, get out of that bed! Get out of that bed! You live in the most beautiful house in Brentwood and you don't care if your clothes are stretched out from wire hangers. And your room looks like some two-dollar-a-week furnished room in some two-bit back street town in Okalahoma! Get up! Get up! Clean up this mess! -- Mommie Dearest (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0082766/) (1981)

They are truely radical! I love the bjork video - top notch :D
Oh... and of course - window licker... non PC!

Windowlicker was my first taste of Cunningham and Apex Twin. I remember seeing it at a friends house and just going ... "What?" It wasn't 'til a few years later when the same friend was telling me about the Bjork video that I realized that Cunningham had done the Windowlicker video - He was telling me Chris Cunningham did this cool Bjork video, and I was like, "Chris Cunningham, who's that?", and he was like, "He did that video with the bikini chicks with goatees and fucked up teeth", and I was like, "Oooooooooooh, that dude.". But as soon as he mentioned it I knew what he was talking about, and I'd only seen it once. It's a truely remarkeable piece of work that can stay with you for many years.

My personal fave of his is the Come to Daddy video. I rarely get frightened by images in film, but that video stuck with me through some restless nights for a long time.

And not to be left out are the other two directors in the Director Series DVDs, Michel Gondry and Spike Jonze. Three terrific directors, it would be fun to work with any of them.

Johhny Depp

I just thought of this idea for an adaptation of an Edgar Allen Poe story, were we find out that his stories are about himself. Johnny Depp would be a great Poe.

I've wondered .. is Goat Pokewowplayer2?

Depends on how you mean that ...

Goat is a member of my creative team which was Pokewow Pikchurs, now Pecan Shell Pictures, so he'd be pokewowplayer2 or 3; but if you are asking if he is my lover then yes he is ... I mean no he's not, I'm married to a beautiful woman we'll call Jane ... Jane Doe.

************************************************** ***********

Seriously, Goat is a good friend and partner, I have no biblical knowledge of him. I am married to a wonderful woman that puts up with my constant internet use and the occasional homosexual innuendo.

NicklausLouis

Pecan Shell is slowly rumbling to life. I am desperately wanting to shoot a short and at least two music videos this summer. All three projects would be no budget with very minimal shooting time. The problem right now is that we can't seem to find a time when we're all free to work together. We'll get it done though.
