I just grade the footage directly. The LUT is generally for preview purposes.

I have my own question about grading Cinestyle footage as well...

As you guys know, Cinestyle is very de-saturated. Do you guys still add some saturation in your footage?

Yes, the LUT is for quick and dirty only, dailies, that kind of thing.
We do add some saturation.

Yes, usually have to add some saturation, usually no more than 10-15%... depends entirely on the shot though and what you're going for with the final look.

Well, it's referred to as LUT. Look Up Table

You can just apply an S-Curve to you footage or you can just do one on your own!
