View Full Version : Something about Quentin Tarantino's films I noticed.

I'm sure I'm not the only one to see this but in every Quentin Tarantino movie (the one's he wrote and directed anyway) he has a shot looking out of a trunk as somebody opens it. Kill Bill vol. 2 doesn't, but vol. 1 does and so I though it sorta counted for both. Anyway, does anybody have any thoughts on this? Is there some sort of meaning?

I never thought about that. Wow. That's kinda cool.

Whenever I wonder about...anything, I just google it. You'll find answers there.

My view on tarantino is that he's a student film-maker who's never fully grown up :D

Is that bad?

I didn't mean it either way... just a view I have. Personally I think in relation to the Kill Bill series he's not really saying to much - but opinions are meaningless ;)

I agree with you shot. I wasn't too impressed with the Kill Bill movies either.

One more thing, how can you do a QT homage where someone opens a trunk and not have the obligatory QT trunk shot?

from this thread (http://indietalk.com:/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1772&start=0).

I thought everyone knew about the QT trunk shot. Yeah, I noticed no trunk shot in Vol. 2, but since it was shot as one movie (wasn't broken up until Harvey Weinstein balked on his promise to QT to release it in full) it doesn't count.

Poke

Maybe the trunk shot will be in the Director's Cut DVD Special Release Merchandise Pack ;) heheheee
