I did this today. It took about 6 hours. I used the AF method developed by Hanna Barbara for the mouth synch. I drew the character in pen in the notebook, then used a Canon D60 to photograph the notebook. I flew the photo into Photoshop, split the notebook from the table, modified the curves on the table, then posterized the lines on on the notebook page. To do the mouth I exported the mouth from Photoshop in the position is was going to be in the video as a Psd. The mouth synching was really easy. There are a lot of patterns. I had this music laying around that I recorded last year and I did the voice over with my laptop microphone and then gated it.

I'd like to improve my skills at animating mouths if anyone has advice.
