Craigslist. You'll see them priced above that, but really all they are worth (if that). Try to talk them down.

Doesn't matter that they paid $4K for it 5 years ago, I paid $2500 for my 5D MK2 1 year ago and now it's worth $1500.

Craigslist is a great source. I love my XL1, I got it from $650 from a teacher, so don't be afraid to ask around in unlikely places. I mentioned to her that I wanted one and she told me "Oh, I have one. Want it?" Great camera! I'm actually upgrading to HD but if I could stay with my XL1 and still be competitive in contests and festivals, I would do it.
