Product Placement Proposal Template

I'm looking for a proposal product placement template to use it to secure a theater location to shoot an online TV pilot. We don't have any money budgeted for it but would love to barter.

Thx

I don’t think there is such a thing.

If you want to use a location I think the best way is to speak
personally to the location owner. If your “payment” is going to be
“product placement” then you should go into the meeting with a
great pitch - not a piece of paper with a generic template.

ray, you’re the master of online searches. Got anything along
these lines?

fearless, what is it you hope to barter? Will your online TV pilot
actually drive people to the location to pay for their services?
That’s what product placement is; a company gets more business
because of an appearance in a movie or TV show. My advice is to
make sure you see the barter from the location owners point of
view. Put yourself in their place and answer the obvious question;
“What’s in it for me?” The better your answer the better the
chances.

Yessir, I'm on it.
Gimme a minute...

(In the meanwhile, what you're looking at is called "Four Walling", and what I'm hunting down is evidence that suggests it's an outdated and poor model to follow anymore.)

Update: It's somewhere near the beginning of this thread: http://www.indietalk.com/showthread.php?t=37825
Update: not on page 1...

Found it!

Go man, go.

I've found the body of the author's work credible, so I'd give his advice in this arena a good bit of weighting when he advises against doing it.

The "Platform Release" seems more productive, although requiring considerably more effort and some finesse.

New update: WTH am I thinking?!
I got too many irons in the fire at the moment!

Yeah, yeah, yeah... I JUST started investigating that, as well.
Gimme another sec...
(effin' idiot... )

How 'bout 'dis... http://www.indietalk.com/showthread.php?t=38033

Yeah, as I look over that I really haven't even gotten so far as to investigating actual product placement for film companies.
I'm still working on the target audience profile to begin hunting appropriate products to place for.
No sense in placing Dentucreme and Cadillacs for 10,000 20-something WASPs to download off torrents. Juno?

Just don't let me run you over and I probably won't stuff anyone important in my mouth before spitting them out.

Nah, I ain't got nothin'.
Sorry.

Following ya'll's lead, now.

Shooting in a privately owned location is rather easy. Just go to the owner or representative and talk to them on a personal level.

Often times you can get permission to shoot in a location for very little cost if your shooting time is short.

For instance a friend of mine needed to shoot a scene in a strip club. He went to the owner and the guy told him to speak to his manager. They proceeded to agree to shoot the scene after closing hours which was past 2a.m. for $200. It was also agreed that the shot film would be reviewed.

So they shot the scene which took a few takes and a total of about 12 minutes.

They then showed the manager the entire film shot and reviewed the people caught in the backround. No faces or significant exposure was seen as the actors were the main focus.

So afterward my friend and his crew left with the film.

Now this was a strip club, I'm sure at an empty theater you'll have more luck.

When it comes to bartering, think outside of just film-making. What skills/services do you and your crew have to offer? If nothing else, you could offer to clean the theater/mow the grass/paint the owner's house/etc.
