Got my first acceptance for 109.
I'd been sweating it after the first three entries came back No (though one was the expected no from Slamdance).

Dam Short is a great festival. The Island played there as well. Boulder City Nevada (where Hoover Dam is) about a half hour out of Vegas. They treat the filmmakers GREAT, as well as any festival I have been to. The Boulder City locals support the festival very well with most screenings packed. The theater is a beautiful old burlesque theater, actually owned by Desi Arnez Jr who lives in Boulder City.

So if you're in the Vegas area, come out and see me.

Thanks guys, not the most prestigious fest in the world, they get about 400 to 500 entries for 100 slots, but it's a ton of fun.

Fingers crossed that third time is a charm for my hometown fest Nashville, but I'm not holding my breath. Especially for a film as weird and against the grain as 109.
