watch Christmas Suicide (true story)

Suicide isn't funny, neither is this "short film." It's too ridiculous to be a spoof, too far-out to be a farce, and too offensive to be funny. The "cinematography" is boring, you just threw lights on your actors faces. The actors are also terribly, terribly unfunny. And this "Please kill yourself for the spirit of Christmas because... BABY JESUS WAS AN ASSHOLE." Not a good way to gain an audience. Sorry if this seems scathing, but the subject matter really put me off.
 
I don't think the tone of the film matches the emotion you intended to express. Also the "page turn" transitions gave it an unprofessional look. I had a hard time getting into it for these reasons. Sorry about your loss.

Wow, my movie must have really upset you. I'm not sure I understand why. :huh: You've lowered yourself to stooping to low grade insults on an innocent filmmaker. However, you're free to express your opinions and I appreciate them. :yes:

This is no troll movie, it's completely serious.
 
When you first posted I checked out the movie. It was so bad I wasn't going to say anything. But, since you want criticism, here it is.

1. TERRIBLE AWFUL acting. It's not even acting, it's saying lines poorly. It doesn't get much worse then this.

2. Horrible dialogue. Simply awful. 10000% exposition, and really bad exposition.

3. Editing? That page peel was worse then weak. For something dialogue driven it wouldn't even be a choice. Perhaps if this was a 1980's new wave video, you could get away with it once.

You pretty much did what every news anchor does every night, they move to look into the correct camera. When has anyone ever used that transition for something like that? It'd have been better to just cut from one shot to another.

The hooded guy's dialogue doesn't sync with his mouth. That kick to that sweater that substituted for the kid was the single WORST shot I've ever seen.

Three things you could have done to make better. Most important, cut before we seen there's nothing there. Put one of those dolls on the couch in whatever that was, so he's actually kicking something. At least put a sound effect of something being kicked.

The camera work and lighting doesn't bother me at all. I've seen worse. But, other elements from those movies kept my attention.

While bad reviews can dishearten. If you seriously want to be a film maker, you just need to improve in every facet of making a movie.

What lines in particular don't you like? It's about suicide so it's supposed to be sad. I like news, the page turns just felt right to me. I think I was really in the moment.
I was hoping maybe one of you guys can show one of your movies so I can see what's wrong with mine.

My heart is really in pornography, but a lot of times I have trouble working with girls. They never come back, and I haven't even tried shooting a porno yet! Do you have any advice on how I can get them to stay or come back?

You started by mis-representing the video you posted. You sold it as a serious drama, yet you are clearly going for laughs, and/or shock-value. When a member gave his honest opinion (one which was perfectly fair), you responded by "quoting" him to mis-represent what he actually said. All of that is very suspect, and it seems like you're just trying to stir some shit.

I've posted many videos on this forum, as has Tommydawg. They're very easy to find. I'm not going to link any of them here, because filmmaking isn't a competition, and your request that we do so is only further evidence of your trolling.

If you want to have a serious discussion, it's not too late for that. If you want to have a fun discussion, it's not too late for that, either. But playing us for fools won't get you far here.

The video isn't misrepresented, it is a true story.
I misquoted because I was under attack, I felt justified.
I'm not a troll I have two years worth of videos on my youtube channel, and another channel with even more. Also, I'm not competing I'm being friendly.

So... Can you help me with my girl problems or not? I think maybe I just need to be more aggressive with them because they usually feel uncomfortable and never come back. Maybe I'm to friendly and they think they can walk all over me. Should I pay them? I want to, but I don't have money.

I forgot to add make sure that you watch ALL of my movies. Thanks!

This was not funny, tho... Not a single chuckle to be had.
