ex3 substitute

Hi,

I was planning on getting an EX3, but funding fell thru. Any suggestions on a lesser camera ihai might match fairly well (I have projects partially shot with a EX3)...and use the sd memory? btw the EX1 is also out of my budget as well...maybe something around $2,000?

Not sure if you can find a used one, but I've been really happy with the JVC HM100. Fantastic little camera and it uses SD cards.

You can rent an EX-3 for a month or two probably for $2k though.

I'm a former EX3 owner, Now I use the Panasonic GH2. I feel the GH2 has better imaging and it can also cut with the EX3, I have a lot of EX3 footage I still use. Both use the SD cards.
