I'm looking for some audition songs.
I'm a tenor, and I'm looking to do something from a musical. Any suggestions are welcome :)

These are a few often used audition songs, mostly because they are difficult so the singer can show off his chops.

Maria - West Side Story

You're My Best Girl - Mame

I've Grown Accustomed To Her Face - My Fair Lady

If I were A Rich Man - Fiddler on the Roof

Oh What a Beautiful Mornin' – Oklahoma

Seventy-Six Trombones - The Music Man

If I Loved You - Carousel

Tiny Tim - Living In the Sunlight

I swear, I've always wanted to audition for a musical by singing "I'm Super" by Big Gay Al. And, it would work for a tenor.

C'mon Spinner, that's cheating. :D He asked specifically for audition songs a tenor could sing.

Nuh-uh! He said:

I'm sure there's one in there somewhere!

If you go to Wikipedia and put those musicals in the search, you'll be able to find what songs you might sing and check 'em out on YouTube. I couldn't tell you which one was for a tenor, but most songs from musicals can be...uh, ....tenor-ized?
