Looking for some tips & pointers

hey everyone, I've been into film making for a while, and even though I'm only in highschool I have made a few of my own short films, not aired, or produced, just personally with some friends. I recently made a DVD of 6 shorts, and theres more to come so if anyone can give me some pointers on getting started or just useful tips that would be awsome.

Well, one very genera and obvious tip, stay organized and write everything down!
 
Actually now that I think about it I find that using hand-held can not only make people feel sick, but it looks kind of un professional. I would use a tripod whenever possibal.
