I am trying to decide whether or not to hack my GH2 to achieve the 42mbps in 1080p mode. My concern is file corruption. I understand that at it's release the hack would corrupt the first half second of the video clip. One of the reasons I chose the GH2 was because of it's ability to record without restriction on time compared to the Cannon's 12 minutes. When the GH2 records over the 4 GB SD limit, it Continues the clip in a new file without missing any information. My question is whether the half second corruption occurs at the transition as it does at the beginning? Or did they already fix the issue entirely since the release?
