Hello!
We are working on a new feature with a 1.5M budget in mind.
Currently in negotiations with investors and with some supporting role casting. We are currently in Pre-production for this film which is set to be shot in NC in early-mid 2004.
Our biggest problem is finding the lead actor.
I will give a description of what we are looking for and then a description of the role, and i would appreciate any suggestions of known actors for this role.We are looking for an African-American actor, between the ages 18-24.
Over 6 feet tall and that can play BBall. Has to have very good skills to play a very difficult dramatic role.
The character description is as follows:
Jay was the league’s best player that year, a six foot seven all around player, that many people thought would be the next Michael Jordan. With seven seconds remaining Jay decided to take a chance and went for the three pointer, he nailed it at the buzzer and Duke became the NCAA champs.
Everything looked good for Jay, if he was going to live up to the expectations, it would only take him a few seasons to become the league’s premier player. Five weeks before the season was set to start every player’s worst nightmare became a reality for Jay. He got into an accident and lost the ability to walk. In one moment Jay’s dream of becoming a professional basketball player was shuttered.
