I know this subject is done to death but we attempted to do it correctly.

That meant: no halloween costumes, good narrative, proper fighting styles (I was tired of seeing kung fu pirates! lol).

Nice work! Good choreography and photography. On my 13" laptop the opening scene looked real, I assume it's all compositing. How's that scene look on a big monitor?

Thanks! The opening scene is in fact composited. We film on the shores of the Ottawa river so obviously I had to add an ocean horizon and a pirate ship. The wooden dinghy was also added

It actually looks quite good on a big screen :)

That was really good!

The fight scene could have been a little shorter
Could have done with a little bit more colour grading!
