watch This Was Loyd Greenblat

This was the first film I put together back in 1994-1995; my sophomoric (sophomoronic?) attempt at being Rob Reiner, Christopher Guest and Andy Warhol. It's silly, it's stupid, it's... well... now online!

That's a really funny long-short.

Felt there was a lot of Cobain-angst in it, as well. That much of an influence?

I enjoyed it so much!
A lovely mocumentary!
Great work with the actors! The art critique/investigation reporter was so funny! The angry artist too and he raised an important question: WHAT IS ART?

The ending was brilliant!

Thank you for sharing :)

Source material was a script, everyone had chunks of dialog written out for them and some form of motivation, but as we ran through the scenes whatever felt clunky we tweaked and all actors were given the freedom to riff and have fun with the characters. I'd say it ended up being about 85% from the page, 15% improvisation.
