watch A documentary on violence and the people going through it

I really liked it. Showed all sides of the issue (meaning, everyone who is effected) and really seems to tell the story without ramming a particular side of politics down my throat.

On the film side I was very impressed. I suppose that as you gain more and more knowledge about film you acquire the ailment of not being able to watch a film without seeing the issues (editing, color, cinematography..etc...). The reason I say that is because I am seeing myself doing that more and more. I DIDN'T see that with this preview.

I can say with certainty that I am not at the level to be able to catch the mistakes of people who really know what they are doing, so I have to conclude that your professor (and crew) know what they are doing! :D
