Anyone knows where could I find public domain short stories (preferrably dialogue-less) that could be adapted for movies ? It could be anything, but I was looking for free stories that could be told in a short-film form (up to 5, 10 mins or something)...

This is the best and the original: http://gutenberg.net/ contains only public domain works and it’s fairly easy to use, but there is no listing by subject.
