watch Underwater dance film

That's pretty cool. The parts where the film is running backwards is very freaky.

What issues did you encounter, filming underwater? Specifically with lighting? It looks like everything is pretty close to the surface, but even so I've read that light drops off really fast even just a few feet down. So yeah, did you have to adjust for lighting at all?

The first issue we encountered was that the swimming pool management somehow got it into their heads that we'd be filming in the paddling pool...the water didn't even reach the port :D
After that, it was just the usual: talent getting tired, tape changes, etc. Water does filter reds and yellows the more the original light source has to travel through the water (in any direction BTW), and, as you can see, we used this to our advantage by having the talent warm and the BG blue. The light source was from these wonderfully large frosted skylights on the pool's roof and, keeping the action close to the surface meant we were able to do this without any extra lighting :D
