Hey guys. I'm looking to pick up the best book on the subject of the business, legal, financing, and producing side of film. I'm pretty good with the artistic side, but I feel like there's a whole other world out there that I have little to no understanding of. I'm talking about contracts, distribution rights, all that stuff.

If there's a good textbook that bring in all these subjects into one book then all the better. You all got any suggestions?

Writing Business Plans for film. It's REALLY dry and technical, but a must read before trying to do one (a film financing pitch)

Those examples look great. Anybody familiar with a good book that focuses on the business of a major studio? Like a what the various departments from top to bottom do and how they work?

I second the Pocket Lawyer for Filmmakers mentioned above

This book is good but it has become dated...

Also here's some Internet articles that are more current....
