No, it ain't the Oscars, but winners announced this Friday. Expectations are in check. ;)
I'm pleased to be a finalist in the Horror/Thriller/Sci-Fi category. Best of luck to all!

Congrats to Craig Cambria for his Grand Prize winning script "Controlled". Very cool. I'm sure it rocks!
Guess it's a good excuse to freshen up the website (http://thesleepingdeep.com).
Just wish I had another script in the wings...
Time for a celebratory drink.
That is very cool, Jeff! Congratulations! The Sleeping Deep is a wonderful script.

They posted a link to featured writers...
Anything that helps spread the words around is cool with me.

Looks cool - any luck getting finance for a shoot?
All the best, Jim.

Yeah, seriously. You keep rackin' up awards for the script. Maybe you need to change the way you're trying to get money for it? I'd love to see the film made.

Chalk it up to it being a bad time for shopping a screenplay around. Damn this economy. Doesn't help that it isn't a low-budget concept. I will keep faith and hope that someone out there finds the horror/thriller/fantasy content screen-worthy sooner than later. I've been thinking of ways to rewrite it on a smaller scale, but then I run the risk of watering down what makes it work.
Give the website a look and let me know if I'm missing something. Does it seem like a project worth getting behind?
Can't embed vimeo clips yet, but here's the short film link
If anyone knows someone who knows someone, pass it on, yo. ; )
ZenSteve, did I ever send you a PDF?
Nice link, Jeff!
I tell you, once I win Mega Millions, yours will be the first script I'll back. :D

Yes, but only after we get one of your scripts on the screen, too. :)
