What camcorder should I buy?

I'm looking for a good video camera to record videos for yotube of people singing and interviews with people. I recently purchased a Panasonic HDC-SD60 after reading many reviews only to find that it didn't have an external mic input. So, I want to sell it and I will get £250-300 and buy another camera that does have external mic input. Ideally, it should cost around £300 but I'm willing to take suggestions for cameras that are a bit more expensive.

I don't know of a camera that has a mic input in your price range. Check
out the Canon HF S20

Maybe a used 550D/T2i? Now that the T3i is out perhaps the price will go down.

Have you considered recording audio externally? It's really easy (and fast) to sync in post.

Even if the OP can get on for cheap, the audio implementation isn't really worth using.

My little Canon ZR960 has an external mic. It's the bottom of the line, but it works fine for youtube type interviews. It's a miniDV, and I've had a lot of fun using it. It goes with me lots of places to shoot locations for future reference.

What camcorder should I buy?
