Sanyo Eneloop batteries. Has anyone used them in their camera?

I'm just wondering. I ran into this idea here: http://ninofilm.net/blog/2010/06/27/t2i-battery-grip/ He attached the off-brand grip to his T2i and put 6 AA Eneloop batteries in it and stated it ran for double the length of his canon battery. But he didn't state how he tested it. So I'm wondering if anyone else has tried this and what there results were? Preferably in there canon T2i like in the post. Thanks!

Here is a link to the batteries on Amazon.com. They have amazing reviews. http://www.amazon.com/SANYO-eneloop-Pre-Charged-Rechargeable-Batteries/dp/B000IV2WAW/ref=sr_1_4?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1297803683&sr=1-4

Honestly, the LP-E8 batteries made by MaximalPower on Amazon are cheap enough to not have to go to this extent. It just takes a second to swap them out and the camera needs a break so it doesn't overheat anyway.

I wouldn't sweat it and I'd just buy some extra cheap batteries to have an ample supply. That's my take on it.

The big advantage I see in the battery grip is the ability to change batteries without having to remove the camera from the tripod\rig.

That's true. I have to keep in mind that my rig is different from others and there is more than one way to skin a cat. I have the Zacuto Gorilla Mount with a Jag35 quick release, so taking the camera off the mount takes 1 second. The original mount had set screws so the camera doesn't pivot.
