Hello everybody!
We're looking for an experienced DoP for our short film "PLEASE" that will be shot in 4 days around April 2011 in Melbourne, Australia.
The film will be shot on the Canon 7D, therefore experience with HDSLR would be an advantage.
Own equipment is not necessary!
We, BEAUTY KILLED THE BEAST, are a young Berlin based production company, shooting our first film in Australia. The German director has already done several projects as writer as well as director/producer for short films and theatre plays. He lately worked as acting coach at the film school in Potsdam-Babelsberg, Germany.
"PLEASE" will be a German/Australian coproduction that aims for festival screenings in Europe and Australia.
The 15 minute short film tells about Michael, a young man who drives over a woman's dog. After they don't make it to the vet in time, he follows the woman into her house, where she wants him to stay a little bit longer. But when Michael accidentally discovers that the dog was not the only big loss the woman had experienced so far, he finds himself in a difficult situation, where a "no" is not an answer...
A story about loss, guilt and the power of saying: Please.

Since the production is low budget, we unfortunately can't pay our crew members. Of course there will be nice catering every day and we will take care of the expenses for petrol etc.
