2 cameras. how should i arrange them?

so i have 2 cameras. a GL2, and an xha1s.
i film events. i'm gonna start using both cameras.
i'm guessing it would be best to place the HD camera for close up shots, and the SD camera for an extreme wideshot of the wedding. or should i do it reverse?
the Gl2 is more like my backup camera, and it will be in a backup position... so thats why i believe i should place it in the far end.

It definitely makes sense to get the wide shot with the HD camera - the wider the angle, the more detail is visible and the more important resolution becomes. If the final product is going to be in SD, you can then crop the HD wide shot in editing, effectively giving yourself three or four different shots from only two cameras.
