Shooting music videos

Hello, at the moment I have a kodak zi8 and its a good little camera but I want to start shooting music videos and I want them to look professional, I dont have to much cash I'm going to buy the camera in october and it'll be in pounds sterling. I probably have around 300 -350, what should i get?

Or should i just keep my kodak it shoots in full 1080p but its not so easy when editing, on sony vegas pro 9 or with movie edit 16 hd.

Any answers will help me loads thanks

Cool...I have a couple of KodakZi8 cameras...and there are mods on youtube you can add a spacer ring that will in turn allow you to mount lenses...this is like a $5 mod and will get you there without having to learn a new camera and will let you buy a nice set of lenses that opens up a world of posiblities.

I have however picked up a nice Cannon hv10 on craigslist for super cheap

Most of the suff here on my youtube was shot with a Zi8 and a nice yamaha field recorder...lots of music videos...I plan on shooting Blue Oyster Cult next saturday too.
