Hey, nice work. Although, I couldn't watch the whole thing -- it froze up at the halfway point, wouldn't buffer. And my internet connection is solid.

Anyway, a couple comments for you -- I really like your camera placement, and camera movement. I wasn't really a fan of how you were framing most of those shots, though -- everything is so front-and-center.

Also, if you don't have a camera that can pick up low light, and you can't properly light it, I'd stay away from those outside night-shots; I couldn't see anything.

It seems like an interesting little story -- once it finally gets moving. At the 4-minute mark, I was like, damn, are we going to see anything happen at all? Your first 4-minutes could probably be cut down to about 30 seconds (I'm not exxagerating).

Lastly, nice sound.

Thank you for your advice and i appreciate ur time taken to watch it the best you could. it should play the entire way through. havent had that complaint yet. I will work on lighting in the future adn i have had some say it had a slow start. thank you. next film, ill get to the point LOL

Nice job :) I agree with CF's notes.

The only thing I'm going to add is that the music at
about the 2:30 mark sounded like porn music.

Not that I would know anything about that :blush:
 
I would agree with the comments above. It started a little flat. As for the lighting, i think you were probably limited in recourses. There were some nice spots on camera work, but, as mentioned earlier, there was a lot of "front and center" composition. But there was some off angle stuff that I liked. For me, it was a little "fright formulaic". But it did have the desired efffect. I found myself telling the lady in the vid, "don't go outside/dont leave the bat/Oh man you screwed up/youre deaed" :) so if it was formulaic it worked. Dont know if i got the ending. She was scaring herself?? For a first effort I enjoyed it.

thanks i will do my best to improve every day. Thanks for the advice and the end is practically a metaphor for the quote that pulls up... and the title of the short is the punchline
 
I liked your work. :)
A little too much movement/shaking here and there, but if this is your first short film,
can't wait to see what you will be doing next. :)
