focusing issue with nikon r10

i just bought a nikon r10 that seemed to be working properly when i bought it. today though i noticed something very wrong. it will only focus zoomed in, anything framed wide is totally out of focus. i cant help but wonder if theres something obvious im missing. i dont know why it suddenly is like this. help!

This Super 8 Camera has a special focus ring for MACRO focus. There is a way to PULL and PUSH it so that you can focus on objects really close to the lens.

The same focus ring that has the metal pin, grab that ring and push it or pull it forwards/backwards.

I love that camera. I still own one.

When you say it "suddenly is like this" do you mean
at one point you could focus all the time and then
suddenly you couldn't?

Not that I can really help. Without actually seeing your
camera I don't know what the problem might be. There
is no back focus ring on that camera, but I seem to recall
there is a macro focus ring. Check that.
