A married woman's affair with the repairman takes an odd twist with her art work.

Shot with the RED ONE by cinematographer Greg Sabo

starring Tamara Reynolds, Bryan Michael Block, and Jon Osbeck.

music by Bill Wandel, edited by Brant Jones

I made some edits since you may have seen it. I cut a lot of meandering and lingering to make it tighter. Let me know what you think!

lol.

I loved it.

Sound was great.

Only thing I would suggest is trying to get a more consistent distance with the mic from the person. A couple of those close-up shots of the woman in the beginning were close-miced and then it pulled out over the guy's shoulder and it was farther. For that type of scene I'd try to keep the same distance with the mic for continuity of sound.

Also, I hate shooting dialogue in kitchens - hard surfaces. I'd try to soften it up with some acoustic handlings - but that's just me and if I had the time I'd do something like that to make the dialogue absolutely perfect. But, that's what I do for a living :P

Otherwise it was awesome. I like the reason it's called "accidental art".

Great job!

I know I said it before, but I'll say it again...I like it. Looks great, with some solid acting...

Good luck on the circuit.

taking it to another level

This is how a short film should be, unpretentious, well shot, well crafted.

WOW, thank you.

We're starting some fund raising to do the whole feature film, where the short above is only the first 5 minutes from the script.

It's on Indie GoGo.com, which apparently is taboo on this site. Understandable.

You can see my sales pitch video here

Other then your sales pitch video how else are you going about raising the capital for the movie, if you don't mind me asking?

We only expect 5% or less to come from Indie GoGo. We are raising the capital from private investors to an LLC we formed specific to making this one movie.

sonnyboo, hard for me to believe you will need a "sales pitch", your work speaks for itself. Can't wait to see the full feature.

Thanks.

Investors like that kind of stuff a lot. It shows you have more than the "art" in mind, but also the "business" end of making movies. If you don't treat the finished movie like a product, it's hard for investors to feel their money is safe in your hands.

A solid written business plan along with strong multimedia makes a powerful presentation to people with money, but even then it's not always enough. INDIEGO GO isn't going to cover but a tiny percentage.

This is probably the biggest festival I've made it into thus far, behind the BEVERLY HILLS one that is...

The Cincinnati/Oxford International Film Festival 2010

Great job it looks real exciting. I hope you can raise the funds to fund the full movie it would be very inspirational for all of us to hear how you did it.
